Air covered yarns
Air covered yarns are interlaced yarns. A spandex covering filament is mixed with other synthetic yarns such as polyester or polyamide with the help of compressed air injected through a jet, creating turbulence inside where the yarns are interlaced at regular intervals.
Elastic yarn is used to improve the uniformity, durability, and functional properties of knitting. In the case of yarns interlaced with polyamide, they combine the coating capacity of polyamide and the elasticity of the elastomer. In yarns interlaced with polyester, they combine their abrasion resistance and durability together with the high elongation of the elastomer.
The production efficiency of the Aircover yarns system is much higher than the yarns covered by the conventional covering system.
Our air covered yarns are used for weaving loom both as circular, hosiery, knitting, seamless and more applications.
Our air covered yarns are available in a wide variety titles and colors, on card or as a customer's sample.

Aircover Article Naming
The naming of our Aircover articles follows a clear and informative structure. First, the elastomer used is indicated, typically expressed in decitex (dtex), representing the weight in grams per 10,000 meters of yarn. Next, the secondary material used —such as polyamide (PA) or polyester (PES)— is described, including its thickness (also in dtex), the number of filaments per end, and the total number of ends that make up the final yarn count.
We hereby only indicate our most aircover standard yarns. For any other kind of yarn that could be of your interest, please contact us.
